This henna is 100% natural, made from powdered Lawsonia leaves with the addition of special oils that enhance the color of the design and help it absorb better into the skin.
Kokila tattoo henna does not contain any chemical additives, so it does not cause allergic reactions but instead has a beneficial effect on the skin.
The henna is named after the Kokila bird from the cuckoo family. The Kokila bird holds great significance in Indian poetry—much like the nightingale in ours. The henna box features a bird logo.
How to use henna for mehendi:
Before use, prepare the skin area by washing it thoroughly with soap (ideally with a scrub) to remove dead skin cells.
To begin drawing with the henna cone, there’s no need to cut the tip—simply remove the pin with the small ball at the end.
After applying the design, wait 1-2 hours (preferably 5-6 hours). The longer the henna stays on the skin, the brighter and longer-lasting the design will be.
Then gently scrape off the dried henna without washing it off with water. It will crumble off like dry clay.
To fix the design, treat it with mehendi oil (or lavender or eucalyptus essential oil).
For the longest-lasting design, it’s recommended to apply essential oil before each contact with water. Avoid vigorous rubbing or using a scrub while washing, and when drying with a towel, do not rub the design—just gently pat it dry.
